President's Report

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Robert Zimmerman

Happy Spring to everyone! We are sure moving along this year at a fast pace.   As the change of the weather happens, so does some new changes with GBTA Wisconsin Chapter.

Communication is a very high priority for the board and committee members and we have been working very hard when we meet to come up with good solutions in getting our members important information.   You may have noticed that the May Chapter Meeting registration email has come in a new format.  Ryan McAdams our Website Chair has found a new program for us to use.  This program will allow the emails that we send to not be tagged as Spam or Junk as often.  This new service does come at a cost to us, but we are happy to announce that General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee has become our email sponsor and helped cover our costs for this updated service.

Be on the lookout for our 2017 Scholarship opportunities! Some of the offers are new and updated this year, so please take a look when the information is sent out and apply.   GBTA Wisconsin is offering some and we have some from GBTA also that are available by applying with us.

Last time we met was our Annual GBTA WI Silent Auction. Wow!   What an amazing event we had.  Attendance was wonderful and there were so many great items to bid on.   We had one of our largest dollar amounts raised so that we are able to provide our scholarships and do our charitable giving in the fall.  Thank you to all who attended and helped us raise these funds.

If you are not connected with our Facebook group or our LinkedIn group, please join with us. We are sharing a lot of good industry information throughout each month.

I hope to see you at our May Chapter Meeting in Madison on the 10th.   Matt Hoffmann has put together a great program and speaker.   Tom Nicholson has spoken at several other GBTA Chapter events and the reviews we received where very good.

Thank you and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any chapter questions or meeting topic ideas that you would like to see. Happy Spring!

Robert Zimmerman, President

GBTA Wisconsin Chapter
